One part designer, one part frustrated developer.
Well, I hail from the province of Saskatchewan, I was aged to perfection in the province of Alberta, and I now reside in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, Canada. Along the way I started messing around with computers, took a liking to something called 'art' and decided to combine the two and attend a web & graphic design course at S.A.I.T. in Calgary, Alberta. Now here I am building websites for a living and loving it. (Note: I don't always look frustrated)
NetGains Marketing
I started working with NetGains Marketing back in May 2009. We are an internet marketing company based mainly in and around Calgary, Alberta (Yep, 5000 Km. away). The company doesn't just offer a lone website, but also strategic consulting & marketing to ensure that a client's website works for them, not the other way around. I fit into the picture as the lead web developer, handling anything from the development of our websites, website optimization, and server management. Every day brings me new problems - some more enjoyable than others - but at the end of it all, I love my job and am very fortunate to be able to do it on the other side of the country.
Everything Else
When I'm not working on a NetGains Marketing project, I'm usually experimenting with the web, expanding my knowledge, or working on a side project, which is what is on display at my work page. But when I absolutely cannot look at a computer screen any longer, well then I pick up my guitar or banjo and get jamming, or I get out and explore the beautiful Annapolis Valley. I also love my hockey (go Flames go!), am addicted to 'Seinfeld', and can't get enough pizza (no veggies, please).
